ALLEGED ROBBERY.
From Bowen Railway Station.
BOWEN, June 17.
For some time past robberies have been suspected in the Bowen goods and passengers’ stations, and two men have been detained on charges of breaking and entering. A search warrant was taken out to-day on two residences, owned by two local men, Harry F. Ah Gee and Claude Martin, and after a thorough search of the houses, a large quantity of goods, comprising condensed milk, bacon and other kinds of general merchandise, was found. The two men were brought before the Magistrate and remanded till Monday next, bail being allowed in each case at £40, with two sureties of £90.
