Certificate of Registration number 11236 for VL2 Brand, dated 20th March, 1876, registered to "John Campbell, Dungaree, Gladstone"
Background

At the time of registering his VL2 Brand, on 20th March 1876, John Campbell was working for the Bell Family of Dumgree as a sheep overseer (erroneously spelled "Dungaree" on the Certificate, a common error of the time).  The brand continued to be used by the Campbells after John established Kilburnie in 1883, and it is still in use on Kilburnie cattle at the time of writing this entry in Q-Album, making it a 143 year old brand.
