WINTON WHATNOTS (By Will Wokingham)
The water tower in Oondooroo Street, Winton, is beginning to take very definite shape as Engineer Arnold Jones and his team of workers have reached the 32ft. mark of the proposed 100 ft. high tower. Many envious eyes are being cast at the never ending supply of cement camps being poured into the project and the 100,000 gallon reservoir tank to be placed on top is assured of a firm and lasting foundation. The work is quite an innovation here in the City of the Plains and the general census of opinion is that Jonsey sure knows his cement.
