Winton Post Office

WINTON.

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

Our new post office has been opened for the past fortnight, and is a great benefit, especially to those who wish to write telegrams, etc, as they can now do so undercover. The old post office is being utilised as a residence for the Postmaster and wife. Whilst speaking of this department I may as well mention that our telegraph line is still subject to stoppages for days at a time. I hear the clips which are to work wonders, still lie at Kensington Downs. The telegraph department is responsible for a great deal of strong language, the inconvenience caused being very irritating.
